In this case the tire pressure should probably stay the same, because the contact geometry to the ground has not changed. BUT, 6" rims are WAY too wide for 165 tires. For every tire size there is a range of acceptable and a smaller range of recommended wheel widths. There must be a chart of acceptable sizes on the web somewhere.
