Hello all, I have recently put my FI system back together (after having a nonstart problem) and I now have an annoying problem. When I run the engine I am getting fuel leaking out from both sides around the injectors. I can't see exactly where it's leaking but I'm assuming it's one of the following: 1. Leaking where the hoses meet the injector (more likely?) or 2. Leaking from the seams in the injectors (less likely?) I have fitted new lower seals, new 5/16th fuel hose all round the fuel rail, replacement FRP spacers as the old ones had cracked, new upper seals on one side and reused a good set on the other side. The injectors don't have the original stamped/clamped end where the hose meets the injector as at some point in the cars past they had been swapped out for normal hose and (original VW) clamps. Could the original style clamps not be getting tight enough on the larger hose? The old hose between the injectors and the T-Pieces were a smaller gauge and a really tight fit, should I just swap out the 5/16th hose for something smaller like before for the four small injector sections (although it looks like it will be a nightmare to fit)? What's the chances of it being scenario 2? I only mention it as I was thumbing through the Charles Probst book last night and it mentioned that sometimes injectors can leak from the seams. thanks, Dan '73 Fastback '71 Variant ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
