I don't know what the technical term is but the bolts that attatch the wheels to the car. Anyway, I switched my fastback chrome wheels to my squareback. When I removed the wheels on the fastback the drums had studs with nuts, but the square had bolts that screwed in. I know that the fastback studs are a mod from the previous owner. I assume he did it so the chrome (stock looking) wheels would have the chrome bolts. I was just wondering if this is a standard thing to do? Is it just as safe as the stock way? Can the rear drums from this car be used on the square? Oh, wait I think I understand? These are just studs that are inserted into the stock set up then have nuts to cap them off, right? If this is the case, if I wanted to remove the studs so I could have fancy-smanshy chrome nuts, how would I get them out? Or would it be better to just buy new studs? Thanks for letting me air that out and TIA for any responses.
