It does run hotter, but not by _near_ as much as the pre-doghouse T1
engines.  Read my description again:

The Type 3 has the oil cooler exhaust air go out a seperate duct :-).  I
specified the above because for whatever reason some people have non-T3
distributors in their T3's.
