It's easy enough to stack a bunch of 2x6's, alternating directions, to a decent height, that using blocks just isn't worth the risk. With a series of wood pieces, the height can be easily adjusted as well. As always, push, shake, and shove on the car after it is up on whatever you use to test the stability of the set-up. The jack should be only a backup at this point. Jeff -----Original Message----- > > Daniel PLEASE don't use cement or concrete stones/pads/etc. for supporting any > > part of a car!!! While the wood pads would certainly make a difference, I still wouldn't advise it. The odds may be in your favor, you could still get "fooled" and then the odds wouldn't be any comfort. ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
