I've seen these grooves here and I've always assumed they were a long ways from doing real damage, but I also believe that they tend to form when the sheet is either deformed from service or removal, or that some/all of the sheet tin screws were loose and this allowed the tin to vibrate and wear into the case. I'm always careful to straighten the tin as I mount it to make sure that it fits well, and I also put ALL the screws in there. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
