The best place to jack the front up is right under the beam itself. Jack
stands can be placed under the lower mounting ears, or behind the beam under the 4
large bolts that tie the body to the pan (its reinforced there).

These should be 8 x 1.25 mm studs, approximately 1 to 1.25 inches long ( I
know because I was working on my generator yesterday). They shouldn't have any
type of sealer on them, as they don't require it.
