RE: [T3] the friendly list (was valves)

i think the idea of putting it into a database would be preferred-the airs
list is great, but difficult to search through because it is a
straightfoward list...anyone with database experience. i have some, but i
have never dealt with an html interface for a database...i'll try to fool
with this a little in the next week or so and see what i can come up with
for a database.

Not just you -- I use my webspace as kind of a catch-all for odds and ends
of stuff. I think the most real use its had was when I was hosting the
Invasion map for Brian. =) I can't see why a listing like Nathan suggested
would need to be very complicated on the execution -- it *could* be done
with a fancy-pants database, but a simple list would probably suffice.

If Greg would be up to hosting it (are you listening, Greg?) and thinks
that a simple HTML-ized list would work, I'd be willing to put it
together and maintain it. I'm going to have plenty of free time for
the next couple of weeks while my boss gets back on his feet after heart
surgery.
