well it rained here pretty hard about two days ago. I had my squareback parked on a hill(going uphill), on the right side(slight curve to road). when i went to look in my car, I saw a lot of water on the floor on the passenger side(some in the battery area)most alongside the seat. none under the fron dash. I think the drain tubes in front are not the issue. is there some other drain tube that could be clogged? I noticed when I opened my drivers side door-that water poured out of a drain tube at the bottom of the door-towards the front of the car. It poured for a while-at least 10-20 seconds if not longer. I was thinking, "that is pretty good, it means the drain tube is not blocked, unless there is one towards the back of the door, which couldn't drain, and therefore the water was just sitting in the door? When I opened the passenger side door-this did not happen. This door actually has a hole in it near the front where a previous owner had installed a speaker. this speaker has been removed-so i could see inside the door-and it looked fairly dry. when I opened it some water could be seen-but very little. not even enough to drain out the front. sorry if this is confusing-here is the simplified version:lots of water on passenger side floor-I am looking for suggestions as to where it may be coming from? thanks -kevin somerville, ma '65 kombi '71 sqbk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
