If you're talking about something that seems to happen when you're trying to drive at about 30 mph in 4th gear, then my 71 MT FI did it too, and I never cured it completely. Replacing the CV joints to take the play out of them helped, rebuilding the transmission to do the same also helped, but nothing I did cured it completely. You might try boosting the fuel pressure to 32 psi, but the only thing I could do was to downshift to 3rd. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
