If you're talking about something that seems to happen when you're trying to 
drive at about 30 mph in 4th gear, then my 71 MT FI did it too, and I never 
cured it completely. Replacing the CV joints to take the play out of them 
helped, rebuilding the transmission to do the same also helped, but nothing I 
did cured it completely. You might try boosting the fuel pressure to 32 psi, 
but the only thing I could do was to downshift to 3rd.
