Yeah, a few times. The last set I got from Cal Pacific / J Bugs.

It appears to be of decent quality, and its very easy to install, and looks
good when installed. They even sew in an edge binding like the factory did. Sew
fine also makes a very nice carpet kit, but I've never tried it on my own
cars. I have a friend with a Ghia that has the Sew Fine kit in his car.

I think the difference is in the strands, as the loop is more like the
earlier style,while the cut is more like VWs low cost version used on the later
cars, like my son's 76 bug. I don't think VW used the cut style on type3s though
(somebody please chime in if I'm wrong), as they were up-market cars over the
beetle. I hope this helps.
