There's not a lot of difference. You can check the Bentley manual for the different advance curves. I'll have to check on exactly which one would be the correct one for you, but I'd recommend that you go with the correct one, which would be an AC or AD, I think, for a 71, depending on AT or MT. The best thing to do would be to ship me everything you have and I can use parts as necessary to make you a good, correct dist. If you don't have exactly the right core I can swap you a core from my stash. I will ship everything else back to you. The price is $50 for the labor, plus return shipping which is $5 for 1 dist, or $10 for 2 or 3. It usually takes me a week or so to get to these, so this might actually be a good thing to do right away. Then you can get your chores in order while your parts are getting fixed up. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
