Well, since the engine should be cold for the valve adjustment, and the engine should be nicely warmed up for the oil change, I would suggest changing the oil after the valve and ignition adjustments. Be sure to not put too much oil in. :) Since it's your first time through, I would suggest adjusting the valves and then make sure that the car still fires up. Then move on to the ignition system.
