If these carbs are working at all, you must have *something* installed in the pilot jet fitting. The carbs came with electromagnetic cutoff jets, and these are still available although not cheap. Many have been replaced with passive jets, which work almost as well. Take a look at your carb diagram (e.g. Haynes p. 65, Fig. 3.14, item 30). Then look at the carbs. You'll probably see a jet screwed into that thole. Synchronizing carbs carefully is vitally important to even basic performance. => there seems to be a lot of air pushing thru => my No. 1connection (front, right) Not sure what you're referring to here.
