I actually started work on this a while ago but have
not gotten around to posting it anywhere. Back in
February or thereabouts, I started moving posts
regarding relevant "newbie" information on common
topics into a separate inbox folder. I paid particular
attention to things that seemed like common problems
that I would eventually have to tackle on my "future"
Type 3... Things that I thought would be useful to
other people just starting out (like myself) to have
all in one place for easy reference.

I think the main reason I haven't done anything more
with it was because I hadn't figured out what the
proper ethical thing would be as far as assigning
credit -- would people get upset that their
information was posted (even though it is a "public"
list), edited or maybe they realized something was
inaccurate in it and didn't necessarily want it on a
private webpage?

In any case, now that this has come up, I would be
more than happy to start pulling together all this
info and editing it into some kind of FAQ for further
review from list members. That would give everyone a
chance to edit, change, or dispute anything that was
posted. On the other hand, if this thing would end up
being in FAQ form, there would probably just be a
general credit listing at the beginning with names of
everyone who contributed to it through posting.

I've done a lot of editing in my day, so this would be
in good hands I think if people thought this was a
good idea.
