Hi all, A couple of follow-ups to old threads: If you remember, I found red oil in my diff., and assumed there was a leak there. I filled it up with GL-5 a couple of weeks ago. Today I opened up the fill plug again. I couldn't see any sign of the oil being pink. What did happen was that the oil started to drip out of the fill plug when I opened it up. I squirted some more in and closed it up again but there was a puddle of oil on the floor when I finished. I hope that's OK 'cause I have no intention of opening it up again, unless there is some really good reason. I think if there is a leak it must be pretty slow. Something to watch in the long term. Also, I finally found what the reason for the short in my ignition switch is. I was actually in the middle of changing the switch, when I realised that there is something metallic on the inside of the steering column that juts down and touches the 50 connector of my non- original ignition switch. I taped the connector and that has fixed the problem as far as I can see. I'll get some fatter shrink tubing and do it properly. In the long term I want to replace my non-authentic parts with the proper ones and rewire parts of the car to conform to the Type 34 wiring diagram (most of it already does). Does anyone have a '69 fuse box in _really_ good condition? I think I have the rest of the proper parts, but I'll have to check the diagram proerply again.
