One is that at high speed (how high?) the generator brushes may bounce around if the commutator is rough or out of round. This requires a specialty shop to gently "turn" the commutator. In general, a dimly glowing light is also an indicator of a poor connection somewhere between the voltage regulator and the dash. You should check all your connections to make sure they are pushed on all the way and that they are tight. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
