There WERE carbed '72s made, but none of them were sold in the US. All US type 
3s from 68-73 (the end of production) were FI. It is POSSIBLE that your 
squareback came in from another country, but this is extremely unlikely. What 
is your engine number? Cases that are marked with a number starting with U or X 
were FI originally.

None of the type 3s ever came with Weber carbs, so we know that this is a 
conversion of some kind.

Your 72 should have dual port heads. Whatever you have, you will need the 
correct manifolds to connect your heads to the carbs you end up with.These are 
most often sold with the carbs.

Someone on this list may have a 12V dual carb Solex setup to sell from a 67.
