I think your premise is wrong, these are not unwrecked, straight, rust free cars. Neil even mentions that one of his Notch's is the 'rustiest' vw he has ever seen. This goes for the DDB patients too. I don't think there is anyone on this list that just cuts up good cars. This issue has come up many times and no one on the list that posts with any regularity is responsible for some of the monstrosities you see on eBay etc. IMHO.
