Next time I get to my car I'm actually going to be putting things back together for a change. I'm starting from putting on new pistons & cylinders & going on from there. Anything else anyone can think of that it's better NOT to go the default route? I would've just put the metal gaskets on if not for this thread... And might I just add my $.02 and say that I'm thoroughly impressed with Daniel's patience and skill in getting his Type 34 back on the road? That car is one of the "projects" I've been reading up on since I got back into aircooled VW's... Very inspiring... From the custom electrics on...
