I never understood the way that the fuse diagrams have been done, they always seemed upside down and backwards to me.... I think the hot side is the bottom side in the diagram, which is the top side, looking at the fuse panel. -kevin -----Original Message----- From: Jim Adney [mailto:jadney@vwtype3.org] Sent: Tuesday, July 22, 2003 4:36 PM To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: Re: [T3] Electrical snafu It sounds to me like you have made a small error in your reading of the manual. The power thru the ignition switch should NOT go thru a fuse. I don't know why VW did it this way, but if you study the wiring diagram a bit more carefully I think you will see that the wires that run from the fuses to the ignition switch come from the unfused side of the fuses. In other words, VW was just using those terminals as a connection point for the wiring. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
