You can solder to the end of the old connector or buy some new connectors from Keith. Either way, you first have to remove the old connector from the plastic connector body. To do this you have to stick some kind of small probe in the front of the body and release the locking tang so the connector can back out. > (2) the wire broke from my CHT sensor just before it goes into the long skinny clear flexible plastic > boot. I pulled the metal part out from inside this connector, but it looks hard as anything to uncrimp > it....whats the best strategy? Can I get replacement connectors anywhere? I'm not clear on where the wire broke. If it broke on the end away from the head then this is just an ordinary 1/4" female spade connector and can be repaired or replaced. If it broke on the head end where the temp sensor is crimped around the wire then you'll have to replace the sensor. I have them if you need one. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
