I just gave him the key and he drove away. This reminds me of when I was shopping for my bus. I drove off with the owner on the test drive. I was doing something in neutral or with the clutch in, and the engine died; still rolling, I put it in second, let the clutch go, and it fired back up and we kept driving. We went out onto the main road to get it up to speed. The throttle stuck wide open as I was shifting. The engine raced, so I quickly grabbed the key and cut the power.
