I've done so few of these that I don't remember for sure, but this sounds correct. > I checked to see if I've got all 7 fasteners for the bars. The bolts for the fixed ends of the lower bars are M10 x 18 bolts. I probably have a couple if you need them. The washers are just M10 wavy washers. Now that you mention it, I think the UR "setscrew" SHOULD actually be a bolt and locknut. See Bentley chapter 7, figs. 8-1, 8-2, & 8-3. The bolt in the UR end of the sway bar is an M8 x 20 bolt and it also needs some kind of lockplate. You can probably make one from a flat washer, or a 5/16 fender washer, or I can make up something. While you have everything apart, one thing to make sure to check is the dimple for the set screw for the UL trailing arm in the L end of the sway bar. It should be a simple dimple. If it has been loose, then it may have worn into a groove. This can be fixed by turning it over and drilling a replacement dimple in the other side. If you have to do this make sure you put it in the right place! -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
