A lot of people couldn't believe that 1) it was a station wagon first, and 2) that it was cut up into nothing before we started on it. I had one guy telling me that it was an Austin Healey, and argued with me over the fact that it was a VW (he was riding in a Mercedes). I told him that it used to look just like my 69 Square (it was parked right behind us) before it saw a sawzall. Once he really looked it over he then apologized, and said that it must be an earlier car. We ended up leaving a little earlier than planned due to rain (we already got wet and the temperature was still cooling off more), but still had a good time. Now scurrying back into hiding. : ) Bob 65 Notch S w/ Sunroof 69 Square AT- the baby suburban 65 Roadster project- formerly a cut up Square (no type3s were harmed in its construction as it was built from junk parts)-now running on its own ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
