Jim, et. al.;
7 bolts that could be called retaining bolts? Would this be the
two for the torsion bars, the one for the stabilizer bar, and the
setscrews and/or grub screws for each torsion arm? Regardless, I am
referring to the bolt for each torsion bar (the one that is right above
the lower torsion arm and is for the opposite side's torsion bar).
I wouldn't be able to get a movie to you with anywhere near
100kB=) So if you are interested I could take a picture of two around
that size.
Actually, the only grub screw I could find was on the upper left
torsion arm which is already out of the car.
Yeah, 15mm hex head and 18mm long. I knew that wasn't the name
for that sort of washer, but I'm just beginning to learn the names of
nuts, bolts, washers, etc. etc. So lets see if I can describe it: it is
a solid piece, but instead of being flat it looks like someone were to
keep two opposite points flat, while lifting up the other two sides up a
slight bit towards the center of those points. I tried to search on-line
to find the name for this sort of washer, but with no luck. Anyway, if
that doesn't help I would be grateful if someone could check what sort of
washer they have for the retaining bolts holding the torsion bars onto
the beam. I'm lightly concerned that I don't have the right one since
the hole for the bolt seems to be a bit too large.
Sincerely,
Christopher J. Valade
