My wife's Fastback had the seals replaced in 1991 (with German NOS ones), and the passenger door is still kinda tight / wanting to be slammed to close, while the drivers side (thats left to those outside the US) is very easy and well broken in now. I just did my Notch doors about 2 years ago, and they are (both( tight and wanting and needing to be slamed to get closed. But,if you leave one of the windows open then they both close alot easier (lack of pressure build up / maybe less than air tight?). I hope this helps.
