Jim, Dave, Rex(?), thanks for the tips but I realize Jim's probably right, that they've been stuck for so long- ~1 year off the road, and I seem to remember a chatter from that side when it was on the road- that it could be time to drop back and punt. The brakes system is too crucial to fudge a pried piston and hope that it works properly. ITMT, I'll use a replacement caliper on both sides (FLAPS actually had them, most likely early, late models) until I can find a set of *right* ones locally at a show or through connections. AAR, sometimes it doesn't pay to cut corners and the front brakes are probably not a good area to try to save a buck. Thanks again, David Walters '73 1600 L Notchback S.
