<x-flowed>I was tuning my car yesterday and noticed that it seemed to idle smoother with a higher dwell, 55. I reset it to 52. With the range for used points so wide, 16 degrees, is this just a process of finding where it runs best for my particular car?
Here's are my current settings:
Battery Amp: 13.3 V Dwell: 52 RPM: 950 Timing: 0 TDC
My timing hole has been elongated by PO's usning a screwdriver to move the flywheel, I assume, so I lined up the first timing mark where I guessed is the center of the hole.
Can anyone give me a measurements of an unmolested opening, so I can "refabricate" with tape to get an accurate reading?
