Not sure about your description, but I think we agree that the "elbow" should point down on type 3s. When done this way they sit out of the way when the covers are off. Are they supposed to be the other way on beetles? I don't think I've ever seen this style. I like the ones that seem to be cork impregnated with black rubber. The plain tan cork ones always seem to be too small, in every dimension.
