<x-flowed>my radio seems fine. when I turn off the stereo, the clock and mem are all saved because there is a separate wire for these. volume comes back to level it was when turned off, there's just no sound.

just an FYI not sure if all modern
radios are wired this way or not.

They are, and if gary's stereo sets back to 0 volume when it looses mem
power, that would be something to look into. Are both mem and power set
to the same power source?
