A lot of modern radios include a clock which is kept alive by a trickle of current when the key is OFF, but they consume a lot more as soon as you turn the key ON causing the clock to light up. If you have a clock that stays lit up when you turn your key off then you will run your battery down in a few days. Nevertheless, this does no harm to the radio. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
