Okay, then examine your speaker wiring carefully from one end to the other. Splices in the wire are a bad thing because they will inevitably come back to haunt you by shorting to something. Look for frayed wires at the ends which may have touched something unintended. This could cause the amp to shut down, or just destroy the output stage.
