sorry i don't know the answer...maybe a wire got loose on the speaker connection. Is there a stock speaker location or were these an aftermarket installation. some PO of mine cut holes in the door for the speakers...one of which was missing when I bought the car, and the other was disintegrating.... -kevin somerville, ma '65 kombi '71 sqbk -----Original Message----- From: Gary Gamboa [mailto:gary_gamboa@hotmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 8:41 PM To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: [T3] Speaker Mystery I spent a few hours this afternoon wiring up my speakers. I listened to the stereo for about 2 hours while doing some other stuff. They worked fine, but when I started up the car and drove about a mile, the sound ended. The stereo was working, but no sound. Could I have blown the speakers? What else could cause this? BTW, The stero is connected directly to the battery.
