I wouldn't mind doing a cruise up and down the coast, weather permitting. I am in the process of doing a lot of engine work to my VW's. I bought thousands of dollars worth of parts over the past couple of years and just recently got around to using them. Too many cars too little time. I will be selling my 66'SQBK at the end of the summer but have to put an engine into it. My 69'SQBK, "Zoocar", needs some fixing(took off the 36mm dellortos and coverting it to stock carbs)and more bambo on the roof. I also have a Bernie Bergman Porsche style cooling system that I need to put on my 58' bug's engine. I will be heading up to Interstate VW in Lakeside on Saturday to pick up some stock carburator linkage, and some engine tin(they have a nice split-window bug for sale in the junkyard right now, a real treat to see). I am willing to escape at anytime for at least a couple of hours, and am looking foward to meeting you folks, of course since I'm in North County it takes longer for me to go down south, so that will have to be a consideration. Here's some pictures of the 65' and 69': http://ww2.spazorama.com/notch.htm http://ww2.spazorama.com/images/zoocar1.jpg http://ww2.spazorama.com/images/Zoo_Car_Murray_Derek_2.jpg -Regards, Matt ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
