Re: [T3] Crunchy steering?

I talked to my mechanic yesterday when I brought him the newused
steering column I had bought (Thanks Greg!) just in case it would be
needed. Turns out, the steering shaft just rotted away (my car lived
most of its life in Indiana), so it was very fortunate I had gotten
that.

He said it was all torqued and rotating "like a crankshaft" and just
grinding inside the steering shaft tube (or whatever it's rightly
called).

So, it's all getting taken care of. Too bad it's so cold here (Chicago)
or I'd have been under there myself taking pictures. Oh, well.
