Must be nice Russ, here it costs 12 for a title (with a $15 late charge if
after 10 days from purchase) 6% tax, and a 29 dollars for the plate (based
on weight and with some age factored in). My VWs cost 29, my buick costs 29
and my wife's van costs 36 for a year. We also have a little know thing
called a historical plate; I have one of these also it costs 10 for 10 years,
but limits use to parades, Sundays, car shows and taking it to be repaired,
meaning you can't use it everyday. Mine expires in 2007, but it is for any
car over 30 years old. It also allows for cheaper insurance because you're
not diving it much. I mainly use to move the car around and harass the
neighbors (remember you can't drive it much). With the age limit ALL my VWs
qualify, but I have what I call drivers, not show cars. We originally did it
for my son so he could get his car in the parade : ) and then he let it sit
for a while as he needed more money to finish his car, but he instead moved
on to another project (sounds like me). Thanks for letting me ramble.
