Youll only notice the 87 on the highway when pushing it.. it may knock and ping a bit. You may have cooked the coil... but they are protected with an internal resistor so unless it was bad anyway It should be OK Chances are you scrounged some contaminants somewhere in the fuel system and there cought in an passage in one of the carbs. This may or may not pass with time. Keith Notes and thoughts: I put in 87, I usually use 91; maybe a factor. For about 10mins. I left the ign. on while on the shoulder so I could have one blinker going, could points have gotten messed up?
