It's easy to switch out the guage itself and keep the 6V housing and lights, in case you hadn't thought of it. => I put in 87, I usually use 91; maybe a factor. No. => For about 10mins. I left the ign. on It's not a bad thought, points can burn in this situation, especially if they weren't in top shape to begin with. Check your dwell.
