32PHN single carb uses 1.5mm needle valve (Beetle part number) and the 32PDSIT uses 1.2mm (Type 34 part number) as already mentioned. 1969 'K'(fuel) manual has 400cc/min at 3,800 rpm for both Type 2 (VW 3) and Type 3 (VW 6) pump. I agree with Jim - no need to change this sort of spec between Europe and USA specs. Dave.
