Being a born and raised San Diegan, I learned two valuable things when I left the area. I had moved to Seattle and discovered that thing called...... how do you say....."weather". While in Seattle the two things I learned were "rain" and "snow". Although its known for its rain, when it snows it does a decent job of it. So here I am a socal boy in the real world, Seattle, pouring rain and crazy 18 wheelers hauling but in the fast lane kicking up water and blinding you! I learned how to drive by the time I moved back. Now you all must understand two things about San Diego that ties into Jims story. It hardly rains and almost never snows. When it does snow it is at the higher elevations like Mt. Palomar. So all those people were rushing up to the hills to get a glimse of that elusive white stuff. I have done it myself as a kid and will do it in the future when my brood gets older. Funny thing about it is the last time I went at age 10(now 31) I went with my friend at the time Steven. His dad took us in their 68 or 69 red T3 squareback.! Good story Jim, now you know why Im sarcastic about having a gas heater :) -jason ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
