The Beetle does have some small rear exchangers, but they are really only a tin shroud, and does not have any cooling fins inside. Still, the air from the fan housing to the big heat exchangers pass through this shroud, and the exhaust goes through as well, so there is a little bit of heat there as well.There are also two small heat exchangess between the rear pair of cylinders and the muffler. These are NOT found on a beetle.
