Re: [T3] '68 Sqback Timing Problem (possible solution)

It may not be a timing problem at all. I've been rolling it all around in my head
this weekend. The timing may be fine. I hope I'm wrong but I noticed when I
changed the plugs that all the electrodes were light tan except one. At the time
I assumed that the plug wire was bad since they all looked ratty. I was
distracted by my timing questions. Before I put in the new parts I had a lumpy
idle. After replacing the plugs, points, cap, rotor, and plug wires I still have a
lumpy idle. I'm thinking I may have a burned valve. I'm going to run by Sears
after work and get a compression tester. It's one of those tools I should have
already bought. I'm wishing I'd had it when I first looked at the Squareback.
