Resending...didn't get any bites the first time...persistent isn't he? Two more questions. It seems like it is turning out that I was stuck in 1st gear not 2nd, the reason I could seemingly down shift was because per the Bentley only when the lever is in the 1 position is engine braking available. So want seemed two gears was only one. Question 1: I drove the car at 45mph (probably in 1st) for about 2 hours, what have I done to it? Note: there are no obvious signs of damage, still runs good, did tune up oil change after the drive, no ominous signs. Question 2: After checking the VM I left the hose off accidentally. I drove around the block and there was no change in the tranny operation, just the engine rev up rev down at idle cause I left the vacuum hose disconnected. Does this mean anything ie vm is bad (the vm does not leak) or is the vm inconsequential when only running in 1st?
