I think I still have it around here somewhere. The ID was out of round. Not as much as the flywheel end one, but obviously not as round as it should be. I probably would have realized nearly the same increase in starter performance by only changing the front one, but I had two (Thanks again Neil) so opted to change them both. Certainly couldn't hurt.
