Nathan=> i have gotten nothing but no's. It really is a safety issue. The stock holes are drilled into thick bosses on the hub. With, say, a five-bolt pattern in a four-bolt hub, you could only save one of those, so four of your bolts or studs would be in thin sections of the hub. Something goes wrong and your wheel is flying down the road ahead of you. Yes, people do this, and most of them don't die from it. It's risky engineering, nontheless, and no reputable shop will accept the liability.
