I don't know a specific name. I don't even know if 3M makes such a product. I 
was just speculating that IF 3M did have something it would be good. I suggest 
that you contact an auto glass repair shop and see what they use and if they 
can sell you some of it.

Are the 2 spring clips slipped over the wall so as to hold the gasket tight 
against the opening? That's the secret, not the condition of the seal, which is 
always fine.

Once water gets in there it can end up wherever, depending on how the car is 
parked. While the ECU seal is the prime suspect, there are other possibilities, 
like the rear window seal. Do you have a sunroof? If so, I wonder if the drain 
tubes could be rusted out and would they leak in there? Condensation is not 
likely to give you that much water.
