Peter, 

Need to get some fibers in with the POR-15 to span that kind of hole, like I
did with Sophy's floor pan on the drivers side.  The POR is so thin that it
will be difficult to build up any kind of thickness.  Fiberglass would work
best, but even a scrap of an old cotton t-shirt would work for a temporary
fix.

Use a piece of plastic (non-porous) tape on the outside, brush a bit of POR
on the inside.  Stick the fabric to the POR to hold it in place, and then
work additional POR into the fabric until it is well wet-out.  Let the POR
dry and then add a couple of more coats.  When you are done, pull the tape
off and use a bit of bondo to smooth it out and then prime and paint. 
Wha-la!  No more hole and a pretty permanent fix if you use fiberglass
fabric.
