Congrats on the quick list reconfiguration. Personally speaking I've always found it very inconvenient and counterintuitive that replies only go to the original sender. On all the lists that I have managed I have always set them to send replies to the list. I don't know all the different types of list software, of course, but this has been configurable on the all of those that I have used.
