Webers never seem to work well on these cars without running too rich, perhaps you can re-jet them leaner but Id just pick up some stock carbs and be done with it... you KNOW they will work properly. 009 is probably the worst choice, as you now know, I would choose the distributor that is matched with the carbs. Get a stock distributor for the dual carbs. Dont leave it rich... it will greatly reduce engine life.
